Commercial Inside Sales Engineer (HVAC)

The position will provide inside sales support for our commercial business and outside sales team. Duties will include:

  • Developing accurate HVAC commercial quotes to HVAC contractors in an efficient and effective manner
  • Providing technical assistance to HVAC Contractors, Sales Engineers, Consulting Engineers and Customers to ensure proper equipment selection and appropriate application to achieve the desired objective

The Habegger Corporation, a highly successful, independent wholesale distributor of both Carrier and Bryant brands, sells systems, related accessories and parts to independent contractors in the HVAC industry. Key requirements for this opportunity include:

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering from a four-year college is necessary
  • A highly-motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to make decisions without close supervision, be accurate, efficient and capable of handling multiple detailed work assignments
  • Someone who thrives on opportunities and challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • HVAC Equipment and Systems Engineering knowledge preferred
  • Computer competency with business software, i.e., Excel, Word
  • Ability to interface well with external and internal customers
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • A solid mechanical aptitude
  • HVAC industry experience preferred but not mandatory

This position will ideally lead to a promotion to Commercial Outside Sales Engineer who calls on mechanical contractors or develops relationships with the engineering community to specify Carrier equipment. The time frame for outside sales will be approximately two to three years.
