When you think about it, HVAC is really simple. It’s math based on facts, data and science (thermodynamics and physics) and put into action and mechanical use to provide homeowners with a safe, comfortable, healthy, energy-smart home life experience.  From a business standpoint, the math is more about accounting than science—and how you price your jobs can mean the difference between just breaking even and making your desired profit.

One of the best opportunities to create and sustain a profitable company is by selling residential replacement opportunities….but what should you charge?   Are you too low, too high, or just right?     With the increase in equipment costs, increased pay for technicians (not to mention the truck is WAY more expensive), and gas and utilities going up, it is more important than ever to “price properly for profit”.

About Jeff Revlett,  GM Contractor University
Jeff grew up in a family-owned contracting business and has over 32 years of industry experience, including 25 years in HVAC Distribution.   Jeff has an associate’s degree in Accounting, a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Murray State as well as an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Miami.   Jeff has done numerous financial training courses all across the country, helping businesses big and small accomplish their profitability goals.
