Roof Top Service Training
Beginner – intermediate
At the completion of this course, technicians will be able to identify the electrical sequence of operation, components that distinguish different RTU’s, and control methods for accessories.
The course begins with an overview of the current and past product line. In particular, participates will be
able to troubleshoot the electrical components of each product line, such as; VFD verses analog. Commercial equipment has more accessories that need to be controlled to have the maximum efficiency, hence why a residential thermostat should not be used on a RTU. Participants will evaluate the controls sequence between a residential and commercial thermostat and recognize the cost benefits for the end user. Finally, participants will calculate and compare CFM to the manufacture data.
