Chairman of the Board

Fred Habegger

Fred Habegger Jr. joined The Habegger Corporation in 1963 after graduating from the University of Cincinnati and after a successful stint in the United States Coast Guard.

Beginning in 1970, he served as President and CEO for 33 years. During that time and like his father who founded and ran the company before him, Fred's commitment to serving customers first resulted in company expansion and market credibility as a customer-oriented, single source distributor. Beginning in 2003, Fred assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of The Habegger Corporation. Fred has served as President of the local ASHRAE Chapter, as well as President of Kenwood and Belwood Country Clubs.

Fred resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with Nancy, his wife of over fifty years. He remains young at heart and vibrant by playing golf and keeping track of his 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

President and CEO

Brian Habegger

Brian Habegger continues the astute leadership of his grandfather and father before him. As President and CEO of The Habegger Corporation, Brian has worked in the business for 23 years, beginning after he graduated from Miami University in the Farmer School of Business.

During his tenure, his professional roles have included commercial inside sales, and being a Territory Manager, Commercial Sales Manager and Operations Manager.

He and his wife Katy have four children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, tennis, fitness activities and coaching his children's sport teams.

He is a member of the Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) and the University of Cincinnati Goering Center for Family and Private Business.

Chief Financial Officer

Chad Boydston

Chad Boydston serves as the Chief Financial Officer of The Habegger Corporation, where he leads the company's financial strategy and operations, focusing on sustainable growth and long-term value creation.

Before joining Habegger, Chad was CFO of Eleeo Brands, a distributor of high-quality, family-focused health and wellness products. He also served as CFO of a private equity-backed organization in the human capital sector, where he helped guide significant growth and transformation initiatives.

Chad's earlier career includes eight years in Deloitte & Touche's assurance and advisory practice, followed by senior leadership roles such as Senior Vice President and Controller at Scripps Networks Interactive and five years in internal audit at Fifth Third Bancorp.

A proud graduate of Xavier University, Chad brings more than two decades of diverse financial leadership experience, combining a background in public accounting with hands-on experience in corporate finance, operations, and strategic planning.

Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing

Brian Newport

Brian Newport has been with The Habegger Corporation since 1988, and previously was with the Carrier Corporation beginning in 1985. Brian has held many roles within the organization including Parts and Supplies Manager and Salesman, Territory Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and has held the role of Corporate Director of Sales for the past 12 years. Brian also serves on the Habegger Corporation Board of Advisors.

Brian is a past board member of ACCA Cincinnati Chapter and was awarded the Distinguished Associate Award in 2012. Brian also has served on several ACCA committees, has been an advisory member of the HVAC News publication, and served several terms on the Carrier Distributor Advisory Council. Brian is currently a member of the ICP Distributor Advisory Council. He the former Chairman of the HARDI Sales Council and is still an active member in HARDI.

In addition to the business boards and committees, Brian was very active in various youth athletic associations and school booster clubs and held various positions from President to committee member over the years.

Brian has three wonderful grandchildren with one on the way in March 2026. In his free time, Brian spends his time with his family, riding his Polaris Side by Side, boating and golfing.

Director of Human Resources

Kristopher Garland

Kristopher Garland joined the Habegger Corporation in 2022 as the Director of Human Resources, the same year as Habegger's 70th anniversary. He started his career in the financial industry working for multiple well known insurance companies in the Greater Cincinnati area. The majority of his HR career has been in the hospitality and customer service industry, including CORT Furniture and Skyline Chili.

He holds an undergraduate degree from Miami University along with an MBA in Human Resource Management. He is a longtime member of the Society of Human Resource Management and has previously worked on the Ohio SHRM committee for hosting their annual HR Conference. He is an avid learner and attends events and conferences that allow him to maintain the highest level of understanding in both HR and the HVAC industry.

Kristopher still lives in his hometown of Ross, Ohio with his wife and their two kids. He enjoys working with the local Scout Troop 923 and being outdoors. He also coaches softball and spends every chance he gets watching both of his kids play sports.
