Aprilaire 8145 Fresh Air Ventilator (AP-8145) is a whole-home fresh air ventilation system that integrates a powered damper, internal blower, and removable washable MERV 6 filter to introduce outdoor air into the HVAC return or supply plenum through 6-inch ducting, designed for energy-efficient ventilation in tightly built homes; the unit’s integrated control compensates for missed ventilation during temperature lockouts and can optionally be upgraded with a MERV 13 filter, providing adjustable fresh air delivery to dilute indoor contaminants and support compliance with ASHRAE 62.2 and other building codes when properly installed.
