1950s
Fred Habegger Sr. establishes the company in Cincinnati, OH, securing distribution rights for Bryant Heating & Cooling. The booming residential market fueled growth as homeowners converted from coal to gas and oil furnaces.
1960s
Company name changes to Bryant-Habegger Company. Fred Habegger Jr. and James Habegger join the business.
1970s
Fred Habegger Jr. becomes President/CEO. Expansion includes Amana distribution and the opening of the Winton Road facility.
1980s
Distribution rights grow to Columbus and Cleveland, OH. Habegger becomes the Carrier distributor in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Lima. The company officially becomes The Habegger Corporation.
1990s
Formation of Habegger Commercial Group and expansion into Kentucky and Indiana. New Carrier office and warehouse open in Cincinnati.
2000s
50th anniversary celebrated; named Tri-State Family Business of the Year by the University of Cincinnati. Five new facilities open as Habegger expands into Illinois and Iowa.
2010s
Brian Habegger takes over as President/CEO, representing the 3rd generation of family leadership. Strategic acquisitions in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Tennessee extend our reach. By 2017, Habegger employs over 500 people and celebrates its 65th anniversary with 40 locations.
2020s
Habegger invests in the future by updating internal technologies with a state-of-the-art ERP system and launching a new customer-friendly website designed to simplify online ordering and account management. Together, these innovations make it easier than ever for dealers and contractors to do business with us. This digital transformation enhances real-time inventory visibility, streamlines the purchasing process, and delivers a faster, more reliable experience—whether you shop online or at one of our branch locations.
