RectorSeal T Plus 2 Pipe Thread Sealant 1/2 Pint RC-23551

The RectorSeal T Plus 2 Pipe Thread Sealant 1/2 Pint (RC-23551) is a non hardening PTFE enriched thread sealant supplied in a 1/2 pint brush-top can for sealing metal and plastic threaded joints in HVAC, gas, hydronics and plumbing systems. Color: off-white. Texture: smooth paste with high lubricity for deeper thread engagement. Formulation includes non hardening synthetic resins, inert mineral fillers, PTFE dispersion, and specialty oils that prevent separation during storage. Temperature rating: -50°F to 400°F. Pressure capability: up to 10,000 psi for liquids and up to 3,000 psi for gases when applied to properly cut tapered threads. Chemical compatibility includes water, steam, natural gas, LP gas, refrigerants, oils, glycols, ammonia, dilute acids and dilute alkalis. Material compatibility includes steel, galvanized steel, copper, brass, iron, aluminum, PVC and CPVC. Sealant remains pliable indefinitely and resists vibration loosening, cold-flow separation, drying and cracking. PTFE enrichment improves anti-seize performance and helps prevent thread galling. Cure profile: soft-set, non curing; allows later disassembly. Certifications: NSF 61 potable water, CSA-listed for gas, and compliant with lead-content requirements for drinking water system components. Storage stability: non separating formula with long shelf life under normal indoor storage conditions.
